Quoting Agent

Core Responsibilities:

• Data Verification: Collect and audit operational data, loss history, and driver classifications, order and review MVRs, loss runs, and safety scores.
• Market Submission: Prepare applications and supplemental questionnaires; route submissions to standard carriers, MGAs, and wholesale brokers aligned with market appetite.
• Underwriter Relations: Follow up on open submissions, negotiate credits and coverage terms.
• Quote Comparison & Proposal Prep: Conduct line-by-line analyses of quotes (rates, coverage limits, sublimits, deductibles, and exclusionary endorsements) to construct clean presentation tables for sales teams.
• Binding & Documentation: Coordinate binding requests, verify down-payment requirements, facilitate financing agreements, request necessary regulatory filings, and maintain detailed policy records in the CRM

• Experience: commercial insurance quoting, rating, or account management experience (commercial auto/trucking focus strongly preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or equivalent industry experience.
• Systems Proficiency: Direct experience with major Agency Management Systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Core Competencies: Meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to turn-around times, and clear, persuasive communication skills with carrier representatives.
